Enable Mobile Communication in Your Electronics Projects
The SIM800L GSM/GPRS module is a compact quad-band module that enables GSM-based communication in microcontroller projects. With support for SMS, voice calls, and internet (GPRS), it is widely used in IoT applications like GPS tracking, SMS alert systems, home automation, and remote control.
The module works on 2G networks and is compatible with most Indian SIM cards. It supports AT commands over a serial UART interface and can be controlled easily via Arduino, ESP8266, ESP32, and Raspberry Pi. Comes with an onboard network status LED and antenna for strong signal reception.
Note: The module requires a stable power supply of 3.7V–4.2V (not 5V). Use a dedicated Li-ion battery or DC-DC converter for reliable operation.
